FRAUD ALERT ❗️
We have been made aware of a scam call targeting patients by someone pretending to be a medical professional.
What happened:
A patient received a call 📞 from someone claiming to be a "senior health advisor" working with their GP practice.
The caller asked about medical conditions , offered medication 💊 which the patient could try at a cost, and then requested bank details for payment.
The caller's number was: 01900 516 559 — a number previously linked to scam calls.
Important: ❗️
Our practice will NEVER ask for your bank details over the phone.
✅ What to do:
If you're unsure about a call, hang up immediately.
Call your GP practice back directly on the official number.
